Ordination
Prerequisites: District License for a minimum of 3 years, completed Course Of Study, and all 4 Supplemental Questions.

Actively involved in your church. ie. Serving in your local church as an “assigned minister” for three consecutive years (for part-time assigned ministers number of consecutive years is increased)

On the Northern California District with an assigned role.

Graduate from a validated course of study.

Hold a District License for not less than three consecutive full-time years in an assigned role. (Or additional years in a part-time role.)

Complete all four supplemental questions.

Schedule a BOM (District Board of Ministry) interview with BOM chair, Rev. Christine Hung, christinehung@norcal.org

The final approval for ordination lies with the District Board Of Ministry, the District Assembly, and the presiding General Superintendent. Completing credentialing hours and courses of study does not guarantee readiness for ordination.
